This is common knowledge for anyone on the r/demonolatrypractices subreddit but I realized that a lot of you aren’t on there and are missing out on some great resources, so if you’re looking for reading material on demonology and demonolatry definitely check out the website below.
These basic resources come straight from Demonology the subreddit. I did not compile any of this, I’m just sharing for the folks on Tumblr. (Honestly even if you aren’t fond of that sub you should definitely take advantage of their deep dives by experienced practitioners, it really is a great resource):
Some book recommendations
Essential Background:
*On the Hieratic Art* by Proclus
*The Testament of Solomon*
*The Picatrix*
*Three Books of Occult Philosophy* by Agrippa
*The Fourth Book of Occult Philosophy* by Pseudo-Agrippa
Classic Grimoires:
*The Sworn Book of Honorius (Liber Juratus)*
*The Book of the Sacred Magic of Abramelin the Mage*
*The Heptameron* by Pietro d'Abano
*The Greater Key of Solomon*
*The Lesser Key of Solomon (Lemegeton)*
*Grimorium Verum*
For Spiritual/Theological Grounding:
*Timaeus* by Plato

Good Contemporary Books:
*Secrets of the Magickal Grimoires* by Aaron Leitch
*Pandemonium* by Jake Stratton-Kent
*Stellas Daemonum* by David Crowhurst
About Lilith:
The Mighty Book List:
Introductory guides (the books that have their own systems of working with spirits included in them, therefore you can try working with spirits if you have any one of these books):
"The Complete Book of Demonolatry" by S. Connolly, (I consider this to be essential)
"Lucifer and The Hidden Demons: A Practical Grimoire from The Order of Unveiled Faces" by Theodore Rose,
"Demons of Magick: Three Practical Rituals for Working with The 72 Demons" by Gordon Winterfield
"Consorting with Spirits: Your Guide to Working with Invisible Allies" by Jason Miller.
Each one of these books will have wildly different approaches. Try them, see what works for you and what doesn't.
Classic grimoires (these are good to read through to see the working with demons through a historical lens. Some people still use methods in these books, most new books will at the very least borrow elements, such as names, sigils and correspondences):
"The Book of the Sacred Magic of Abramelin the Mage" (Dehn ed. is recommended)
"The Greater Key of Solomon",
"The Lesser Key of Solomon" aka Lemegeton (Peterson ed. is best, Mathers/Crowley is its own thing worth reading but incomplete),
"Pseudomonarchia Daemonum" (repeats a lot of information that Lesser Key has, but is older, so worth a read if you're into history of occult),
"Grimorium Verum" (Peterson ed. or JSK's "True Grimoire"),
"The Grand Grimoire" (aka Red Dragon)
"The Grimoire of St. Cyprian",
" The Goetia of Dr. Rudd".
Books that are good to read for general occult/ magick background:

Genshin Character Names` Meanings Pt. 4
Tighnari | Most likely a reference to Arab Muslim botanist (as well as traveler, poet and physician) Al-Tighnari (born in village Tignar), who wrote a treatise on Middle East agriculture
Collei | Uncertain, but there seemingly is a Persian name Collei that means «Aware», «Sentimental», or «Noble»; Also literally «Lost» in Welsh
Cyno | Originates from Cynopolis, an Egyptian city which used to be centre of Anubis cult, and as we all know, Cyno is based on Anubis
Sethos | Most likely references Seth, the God of deserts, storms, disorder, violence and foreigners in Ancient Egypt. Known to have accompanied Ra on his barque in repelling Apep, but in the Osiris myth depicted as the usurper who murdered and mutilated his own brother, who is Osiris himself
Dori | Literally «Shining», «Glowing» in Persian, also derived from the word dor (دُر) which means «Large Pearl»
Nilou | «Water Lily», «Lotus» – Persian Name
Candace | «Clarity», «Whiteness» – An ancient title derived from word Kandake, once used by queens of Ethiopia; has Latin roots

Faruzan | «Luminous», «Shining», or «Resplendent» – Persian Name
Alhaitham | Haitham is a first name and it means «Young Eagle» or «Young Hawk». Meanwhile Al is a prefix usually used in Middle East last names before the name of the family/tribe itself. Basically, it is a definite article, like 'the' in English. He is also most likely named so after Hasan Ibn al-Haitham (Latinicized version of his name also sounds like Alhazen) who was an Arab mathematician, astronomer and physicist during the Islamic Golden Age
Kaveh | «Of Royal Origin» – Persian/Iranian Name; Might be based on Kaveh the Blacksmith from Iranian mythology, who launched a national uprising against the evil foreign tyrant Zahāk and re-established the rule of Iranians
Nahida | «Delightful», «Gentle», «Kind», «Soft» – Persian Name. Another version – Nahiya, means «Advisor»
Kusanali | Derived from the Pali words «kusa» (kusa-grass, a sacred plant used in Hindu ceremonies) and «nāḷi» («a hollow stalk or tube»).
Buer | Comes from Governor Buer, the 10th of Goetia Demons
Rukkhadevata | रुक्खदेवता – "tree-goddess" in Shaivism is a Yakṣiṇī who is worshiped as the goddess of wealth or the guardian spirit of practitioners. The Yakṣiṇīs are the female counterparts of the Yakshas in Hinduism and Buddhism, and also appear in Jātaka literature, where they are considered as local deities living in trees and sometimes referred to individually as "rukkha-devatā".
Cuilein-Anbar | Literally «Darling Amber». Cuilein (directly translating to «pup/cub») is a Gaelic term of endearment commonly used for young animals, equivalent to «darling», while anbar is an Arabic word meaning «amber».
Mehrak | «Like the Sun» – Persian Name
Faranak | Derived from the word پروانه (parvâneh), which means «butterfly» in Persian
Dunyarzad | Likely named so after Dunyazad (دنیازاد in Persian), who is the younger sister of Queen Scheherazade from One Thousand and One Nights
Sorush | Originates from Zoroastrian divinity of Conscience» and «Observance», with its name having those two exact meanings
Apep | Based on an ancient Egyptian deity of darkness and disorder, also known as Aphoph or Apophis, who also was often depicted as a snake

........Hi
Not even gonna make up excuses this time, just want you to know that I do have an intention to finish these series, it`s just that God knows when I actually will
In any case, I wanted to add Jeht as well, but I couldn't find a reliable source that would tell me where her names comes from, so I would be grateful if anyone knowledgeable helped me out here. I think I saw a version that says it's an Arabic name meaning «Freedom Lover» or «Scholar», but I'm not sure if that's right??
Anyways, see ya soon, hope you'll have a great year, take care of yourself, stay hydrated and bye.

The Ars Goetia didn't originate from "King Solomon" as it claims.
If it did, it wouldn't be heavily influenced by fucking Greek magic, since Solomon supposedly lived thousands of years before that period.
Medieval monks, who really wrote the Ars Goetia, had a very well documented habit of assigning parentage of magical texts to apocryphal figures like Solomon to make them seem cooler or more powerful. Particularly to christian adjacent figures, since otherwise these books would be considered hersey.
Even the word Goetia itself derives from the Greek Goêteia, meaning sorcery, specifically sorcery utilizing chthonic powers, or the Underworld: Gods, Daemons, and the Dead.
Goêteia comes from the proto Indo-European word goos, meaning to mourn, cry, or to wail; it comes from ancient funeral laments and mourning practices.
Also, Solomon likely never existed, hate to burst your bubble, but there has been zero archeological evidence found to support his, or his "father" king David's existence. Unlike other real kings of roughly the same periods, like King Nebuchadnezzar II.
Even the fact that the magic circles within the Ars Goetia utilize the same coiled serpents and five-pointed stars that Greek goêteia uses, stemming from EGYPT and Egyptian practice, not some psudeo-biblical figure like Solomon.
But wait, there's more
Even the use of demons isn't Solomonic, nor is it Jewish or christian.
It's also fucking Greek.
The word demon itself derives from the Greek daemon, meaning earthly divinity (rather than heavenly/ouranic) or a messenger of the Gods.
It was taken and absorbed into early christian theology like many other concepts such as Tartarus due to early christianity rising in the same region.
Particularly the use of daemons in magic through evocation, or even invocation (calling them within yourself to become possessed, a hallmark of Daemonism and the Engastraitai) through ritual incantations of voces magicae and nomina barbara.
All of it is fucking Greek, no Solomon to be found.
I'll add a step further: even the use of Jewish aspects of magic within the Ars Goetia stems from Greek goêteia, as Greek goêteia was a syncretism of Greek, Jewish, Egyptian, and Mesopotamian magical and spiritual practices.
Fuck, just take a look at the Greek Magical Papyri sonetime if you don't believe it.
Hell, even take a look at the Coptic Magical Papyri, which was a syncretism of early christianity and what we would call "ancient Egyptian" religion and Magical practices:
See the similarities?
Solomon my ass.

What's the hierarchy of Hell's demons for your rewrite?
hello there ✌️
hierarchy of Hell's (Sheol's) demons
• Lucifer/Helel/Samael/the Morning Star as a supreme ruler — his wives and Sins — firstborn spirits/demons + shedim + fallen angels — spirits/demons of the first generation — spirits/demons of the second generation (born after the Flood) — younger spirits/demons (born after the Crusades, in AD era) — imps — lesser inferior spirits/demons — sinners
• firstborns came from shedim who hadn't their own physical bodies, Yahweh's younger children; they got bodies by eating flesh and drinking blood
• Ars Goetia somewhere in the categories of Sins and firstborns: some Sins belong to the Goetia, not all firstborn demons are included into the Goetia, in general it's just a human definition for the seventy-two well-known demigods of Sheol
• Asmodeus is a 1/4 demon of the second generation: his grandfather is a firstborn demon of egyptian desert
• the sinners at the very bottom of the food chain: they don't belong to this world from birth
• Tainted sinners may roughly fit the category of younger demons (the youngest even in this category), but very so-so; they don't even have half the blood of a demon in bodies
• stratification, as in Eden, depends on age and concentration of magic
• lesser spirits/demons, like Razzle/Dazzle, Keekee or egg bois (they'll become raven-like creatures) can be born without a father

I was thinking - we were shown at least three male members of Goetia, and all three are gay. At the same time, marriages with continuation of the family line are important for Goetia.
And I was thinking - could it be that Vassago is also married? But, unlike Stolas, he is luckier, and he and his wife have a warm, trusting relationship?
Well, this thought caught my attention, and I decided to draw my version of his wife. I present to you the Marquise Leraje, the 14th demon of Goetia. Probably, Goetia experts are now a little unclear - why does she look like an Egyptian queen? In general, there is a funny reason for this. I didn't find this information in english Wikipedia and other english sources, but in russian there is information that Leraje has two incarnations - a male archer, similar to Robin Hood and a beautiful woman in the guise of an Egyptian queen. The second version seemed interesting to me to perform… Why? Well...I thought it would be interesting to weave a little political allusion into their union. Vassago is a Spaniard, a representative of the West. And Leraje is an Egyptian, a representative of the East.
"Starry West and Sunny East Married to Keep the Peace" What do you think?
P.S. Background was taken from the internet, it's not mine!!!

Hello! In your description it says you're pagan, I'm curious to what exactly is a pagan? What do they believe? Do they worship anything? How does one know they're pagan?
Sorry if the question is annoying, I'm just curious bc idk anything about pagans, I searched on Google but it didn't give me simple answers😅
Thank you for asking! Paganism useally refers to the worship of gods from religions that have been wiped out long ago. Useally this means the Greek, Norse, Celtic, or Egyptian pantheons that most people are only familiar with through mythology. Though it can also refer to really any worship that exists outside of mainstream religion, so worship of pantheons like the ars goetia often count.
Most pagans (including me) believe these deities to be real entities with distinct identities that are able to interact with us. Our gods aren't metaphors, and aren't aspects of some greater being. They are their own individual entities.
As for how one knows they're pagan that's kind of hard to say. You can kind of just choose to start practicing if you want to. Though I personally became pagan after being directly called to by the goddess hel, though I think it's more common for the human to be the first one to make contact.

Me: *checking the Dictionnaire Infernal for reasons*
Under list of demons:
He is the "grand-master of the nocturnal orgies of demons" and can grant powers like the ability to change into monstrous animals or men can turn into incubi.
Also this is part of the entry for Vual/Wall from the Ars Goetia:
"Yeah he can speak Egyptian, but he's a level 3 at best."

The Daemonesses Of The Ars Goetia 🔥
It's unfortunate that cultural appropriation of Lilith and other Jewish daemonesses has such a large influence and prominent following in the Daemonolatry community nowadays. In order to counteract some of this, I wanted to offer alternatives to working with Lilith, specifically from the infamous grimoire that is the Ars Goetia!
The entirety of the Ars Goetia daemons are referred to as male. But are they all really just guys?
Although all 72 of the Goetian Daemons are referred to with masculine pronouns (he/him/his), I don't personally believe that all of the Ars Goetia are or identify as male/masc. I see daemons as gender-fluid and believe that they appear to everybody differently.
So here are the Goetian Daemons that I personally consider to be Daemonesses, in regards to my UPG! :)
⭒☆·━━━━━━━•( 🌑 )•━━━━━━━·☆⭒
NOTE: Please keep in mind that I have not communed or worked with every daemoness listed here. I have attained most of my knowledge of them through research and sigil gazing. And as always, this is just my UPG so please don't take this as fact! If what I've written here doesn't resonate with you, that's completely okay! Please form your own conclusions and opinions on the subject matter. 🖤
NOTE: In this post I will be referring to the spirits listed as both goddesses and daemonesses interchangeably, as I see daemons as deities in their own right.
⭒☆·━━━━━━━•( 🌑 )•━━━━━━━·☆⭒
+: Queen/Countess Vinea :+
From the Ars Goetia: "The Forty-fifth Spirit is Vine, or Vinea. He is a Great King, and an Earl; and appeareth in the Form of a Lion, riding upon a Black Horse, and bearing a Viper in his hand. His Office is to discover Things Hidden, Witches, Wizards, and Things Present, Past, and to Come. He, at the command of the Exorcist will build Towers, overthrow Great Stone Walls, and make the Waters rough with Storms. He governeth 36 Legions of Spirits. And his Seal is this, which wear thou, as aforesaid, etc."
Lady Vinea is a sun goddess of battle, chaos, strength, storms, and war. She can also assist in matters of divination and scrying. She can help one with self-esteem and confidence, making you stronger in the face of your enemies. She could also be worked with as a protective deity.
It was no surprise to me that Vinea shares a lot of the same characteristics with Lady Sekhmet, an Egyptian sun goddess depicted with the head of a lioness. From my findings, she seems to be a spirit shard* of Sekhmet herself.
* In my UPG, a spirit shard is when an aspect or piece of a deity or spirit breaks off from its original fountainhead and becomes its own individual spirit or deity in their own right. They could be seen as a relative or creation/child of the original spirit/deity.
.
+: Queen Beleth :+
From The Ars Goetia: "The Thirteenth Spirit is called Beleth (or Bileth, or Bilet). He is a mighty King and terrible. He rideth on a pale horse with trumpets and other kinds of musical instruments playing before him. This Great King Beleth causeth all the love that may be, both of Men and of Women, until the Master Exorcist hath had his desire fulfilled. He is of the Order of Powers, and he governeth 85 Legions of Spirits. His Noble Seal is this, which is to be worn before thee at working."
Lady Beleth is a sun and moon goddess of music, love, desire, emotions, lust, and peace. Despite the Ars Goetia describing her as "terrible", she actually has a very calming nature. She can help you with emotional regulation and the understanding of both your own and others' emotional experiences, thus assisting in relationships of any kind. Beleth can also assist in creative matters, especially of music.
Beleth is a spirit shard of Lady Bastet, and is cousin to Lady Vinea. Much like Bastet, Lady Beleth is associated with domestic cats and appears as cat-headed, just like her fountainhead deity.
.
+: Duchess Bune :+
From the Ars Goetia: "The Twenty-sixth Spirit is Bune (or Bim). He is a Strong, Great and Mighty Duke. He appeareth in the form of a Dragon with three heads, one like a Dog, one like a Gryphon, and one like a Man. He speaketh with a high and comely Voice. He changeth the Place of the Dead, and causeth the Spirits which be under him to gather together upon your Sepulchres. He giveth Riches unto a Man, and maketh him Wise and Eloquent. He giveth true Answers unto Demands. And he governeth 30 Legions of Spirits. His Seal is this, unto the which he oweth Obedience. He hath another Seal (which is the first of these, but the last is the best)."
Lady Bune is a goddess of necromancy, wealth, enlightenment, hidden wisdom, death, and the shadows. She can help the living commune with the dead and vice versa, and can also help "lost souls" with moving on into the afterlife. She can also assist in matters of self-improvement, personal growth, learning from past mistakes, and changing for the better.
I believe Duchess Bune may be a somewhat distant relative of the Lernaean Hydra of Greco-Roman mythology. Both of their connections with water and the underworld seem to confirm this.
.
+: Duchess Crocell :+
From the Ars Goetia: "The Forty-ninth Spirit is Crocell, or Crokel. He appeareth in the Form of an Angel. He is a Duke Great and Strong, speaking something Mystically of Hidden Things. He teacheth the Art of Geometry and the Liberal Sciences. He, at the Command of the Exorcist, will produce Great Noises like the Rushings of many Waters, although there be none. He warmeth Waters, and discovereth Baths. He was of the Order of Potestates, or Powers, before his fall, as he declared unto the King Solomon. He governeth 48 Legions of Spirits. His Seal is this, the which wear thou as aforesaid."
Lady Crocell is a goddess of freshwater, healing, purity, life, and fertility. Being a goddess of purity, she can help one to cleanse any space of negative energies. She can also heal and cleanse someone by immersing them in the water of her astral springs.
I've found many similarities between Duchess Crocell and Lady Sulis, a Celtic goddess of the thermal spring of Bath. I believe Crocell is a creation/child of Sulis.
.
+: Duchess Gremory :+
From the Ars Goetia: "The Fifty-sixth Spirit is Gremory, or Gamori. He is a Duke Strong and Powerful, and appeareth in the Form of a Beautiful Woman, with a Duchess’s Crown tied about her waist, and riding on a Great Camel. His Office is to tell of all Things Past, Present, and to Come; and of Treasures Hid, and what they lie in; and to procure the Love of Women both Young and Old. He governeth 26 Legions of Spirits, and his Seal is this, etc."
Lady Gremory is a goddess of love, passion, friendship, beauty, lust, desire, and feminine attributes. Not only can she help you form and/or mend relationships with others, but she can also assist in developing self-love and self-acceptance. She is especially fond and protective of women, including trans women and fiaspec people in general! The Infernal Divine does not discriminate. Xx
I think Duchess Gremory could be a relative of Lady Branwen, a Celtic goddess of love and beauty. They have similar correspondences and I can't help but feel like they may be kind of related in some way.
.
+: Duchess Vepar :+
From the Ars Goetia: "The Forty-second Spirit is Vepar, or Vephar. He is a Duke Great and Strong and appeareth like a Mermaid. His office is to govern the Waters, and to guide Ships laden with Arms, Armour, and Ammunition, etc., thereon. And at the request of the Exorcist he can cause the seas to be right stormy and to appear full of ships. Also he maketh men to die in Three Days by Putrefying Wounds or Sores, and causing Worms to breed in them. He governeth 29 Legions of Spirits, and his Seal is this, etc."
Lady Vepar is a goddess of the sea, protection, sickness, healing, medicine, storms, and marine life. Being a goddess of sickness, she can also help heal said illness and helps find cures for any ailments. She can assist in addressing traumas you've kept buried within the depths of your soul, so that you can emerge above the waters a better version of yourself.
Duchess Vepar may be associated with Lord/Lady Leviathan and Lady Tiamat, due to the correspondences with the ocean and seawater. I believe she may also have ties to the Kuliltu and Kulullu daemon races from Mesopotamian mythology, some of the many children of Mother Tiamat.
.
+: Duke/Duchess Astaroth :+
From the Ars Goetia: "The Twenty-ninth Spirit is Astaroth. He is a Mighty, Strong Duke, and appeareth in the Form of a hurtful Angel riding on an Infernal Beast like a Dragon, and carrying in his right hand a Viper. He giveth true answers of things Past, Present, and to Come, and can discover all Secrets. He will declare wittingly how the Spirits fell, if desired, and the reason of his own fall. He can make men wonderfully knowing in all Liberal Sciences. He ruleth 40 Legions of Spirits. His Seal is this, which wear thou as a Lamen before thee, or else he will not appear nor yet obey thee, etc."
Lord/Lady Astaroth is a god(dess) of love, sorcery, lust, passion, friendship, androgyny, and magic. Similar to Lucifer, they are an enlightenment and knowledge daemon. They also assist in building relationships with others, as well as self-love. Astaroth can help you strengthen and further develop your divination skills as well, making it easier to communicate with the spiritual realms in general.
In my UPG, Duke/Duchess Astaroth isn't the same as Astarte (Ashtoreth), but rather a spirit shard of her. This spirit shard was then further developed into a daemon by Lord Lucifer himself. These are just my personal beliefs though!
(Side Note: I believe that Duke/Duchess Astaroth goes by all pronouns, but personally I just use they/them/theirs pronouns most of the time to refer to Astaroth. Xx)
.
+: Marchioness Gamigin/Samigina :+
From the Ars Goetia: "The Fourth Spirit is Samigina, a Great Marquis. He appeareth in the form of a little Horse or Ass, and then into Human shape doth he change himself at the request of the Master. He speaketh with a hoarse voice. He ruleth over 30 Legions of Inferiors. He teaches all Liberal Sciences, and giveth account of Dead Souls that died in sin. And his Seal is this, which is to be worn before the Magician when he is Invocator, etc."
Lady Gamigin, also known as Lady Samigina, is a goddess of death, necromancy, dying, darkness, the afterlife, and the Underworld. She assists with spirits crossing over to the afterlife, and can also assist in communicating with the dead. Gamigin could also function as a grave-keeper type of spirit.
Marchioness Samigina may be related to the Gallo-Roman goddess, Lady Epona; a protector of equine animals, and a goddess of fertility. The "leader of the souls to the afterlife" correspondences seem to confirm the correlation between Gamigin and Epona.
.
+: Marchioness Marchosias :+
From the Ars Goetia: "The Thirty-fifth Spirit is Marchosias. He is a Great and Mighty Marquis, appearing at first in the Form of a Wolf (or Ox) having Gryphon’s Wings, and a Serpent’s Tail, and Vomiting Fire out of his mouth. But after a time, at the command of the Exorcist he putteth on the Shape of a Man. And he is a strong fighter. He was of the Order of Dominations. He governeth 30 Legions of Spirits. He told his Chief, who was Solomon, that after 1,200 years he had hopes to return unto the Seventh Throne. And his Seal is this, to be made and worn as a Lamen, etc."
Lady Marchosias is a goddess of war, battle, strength, chaos, and protection. She can help one to feel powerful and assist in taking back control in your life. She can help you feel motivated and confident. Marchosias can also assist with curse work and help you rise up above your enemies.
Marchioness Marchosias may have ties to Lord Fenrir from Norse mythology. I've noticed they both share the same chaotic energy. They only seem distantly related to one another though.
.
+: Marchioness Phenex :+
From the Ars Goetia: "The Thirty-Seventh Spirit is Phenex (or Pheynix). He is a great Marquis, and appeareth like the Bird Phoenix, having the Voice of a Child. He singeth many sweet notes before the Exorcist, which he must not regard, but by-and-by he must bid him put on Human Shape. Then he will speak marvellously of all wonderful Sciences if required. He is a Poet, good and excellent. And he will be willing to perform thy requests. He hath hopes also to return to the Seventh Throne after 1,200 years more, as he said unto Solomon. He governeth 20 Legions of Spirits. And his Seal is this, which wear thou, etc."
Lady Phenix is a sun goddess of transformation, rebirth, resurrection, creativity, passion, nature, and fire. She can help ignite the creative fires within one's soul so they can express their full artistic potential. She can also help one burn up negative traits so that you may emerge from the ashes a better version of yourself.
Marchioness Phenex can be considered either synonymous with or an aspect of the Greco-Roman Phoenix bird. I personally see Lady Phenex as being a daemonic aspect of the Phoenix.
.
+: President Amy/Avnas :+
From the Ars Goetia: "The Fifty-eighth Spirit is Amy, or Avnas. He is a Great President, and appeareth at first in the Form of a Flaming Fire; but after a while he putteth on the Shape of a Man. His office is to make one Wonderful Knowing in Astrology and all the Liberal Sciences. He giveth Good Familiars, and can bewray Treasure that is kept by Spirits. He governeth 36 Legions of Spirits, and his Seal is this, etc."
Lady Amy, also known as Lady Avnas, is a goddess of volcanoes, the wild, nature, strength, fire, wisdom, and protection. She can assist one in the studying of desired topics and subjects, but especially astrology and the zodiac. She can also shield one from negative energies, as well as help the individual to become stronger.
I can't help but feel like President Amy has associations with Lord Pan/Faunus... However Amy isn't as prominently sexual or lustful as Pan. They both seem to be deities of nature and the wild though.
.
+: President Haagenti :+
From the Ars Goetia: "The Forty-eighth Spirit is Haagenti. He is a President, appearing in the Form of a Mighty Bull with Gryphon’s Wings. This is at first, but after, at the Command of the Exorcist he putteth on Human Shape. His Office is to make Men wise, and to instruct them in divers things; also to Transmute all Metals into Gold; and to change Wine into Water, and Water into Wine. He governeth 33 Legions of Spirits, and his Seal is this, etc."
Lady Haagenti is a goddess of sorcery, transformation and transmutation, fertility, magic, creativity, and change. Like her masculine counterpart (President/King Zagan), she teaches spiritual alchemy and can assist one with attaining spiritual enlightenment in this way. She can also help with developing creative skill so one can excel in their desired creative fields.
Some have aligned President Haagenti with the previously mentioned Lady Bastet. Personally, I don't really see them as being linked in any way, nor could I find any good sources as to why people conflate them with one another. If anything, I feel like Lady Haagenti, along with President/King Zagan and Count/President Morax, evolved from the Minotaur in Greek mythology. I also believe Morax may be an aspect of the Minotaur, but that's for another post lol.
.
+: Prince(ss) Seere :+
From the Ars Goetia: "The Seventieth Spirit is Seere, Sear, or Seir. He is a Mighty Prince, and Powerful, under AMAYMON, King of the East. He appeareth in the Form of a Beautiful Man, riding upon a Winged Horse. His Office is to go and come; and to bring abundance of things to pass on a sudden, and to carry or recarry anything whither thou wouldest have it to go, or whence thou wouldest have it from. He can pass over the whole Earth in the twinkling of an Eye. He giveth a True relation of all sorts of Theft, and of Treasure hid, and of many other things. He is of an indifferent Good Nature, and is willing to do anything which the Exorcist desireth. He governeth 26 Legions of Spirits. And this his Seal is to be worn, etc."
Lord/Lady Seere is a god(dess) of the skies, astral travel, peace, clouds and rain, fertility, beauty, and androgyny. They can help one with astral travel as well as dream interpretation and walking the dreamscape. They can also help one attain insight about yourself and whatever is going on in your life. They can also help you attain an abundance of whatever it is that you seek.
Prince(ss) Seere and their steed may have ties to the Pegasus in Greek mythology, though I wasn't able to entirely confirm this.
+: Princess Sitri :+
From the Ars Goetia: "The Twelfth Spirit is Sitri. He is a Great Prince and appeareth at first with a Leopard’s head and the Wings of a Gryphon, but after the command of the Master of the Exorcism he putteth on Human shape, and that very beautiful. He enflameth men with Women’s love, and Women with Men’s love; and causeth them also to show themselves naked if it be desired. He governeth 60 Legions of Spirits. His Seal is this, to be worn as a Lamen before thee, etc."
Lady Sitri is a goddess of love, passion, relationships, sex, fire, lust, and desire. She can help one with love spells and sex magic, as well as mending relationship conflicts. She can also infuse any creative project with passion, and help you overcome creative blocks.
I personally feel that Princess Sitri has ties to Lady Aphrodite/Venus, given the associations with love, desire, and sex. I also believe she's related to Duke Flauros/Haures in some way too. Sitri appears to me as a cheetah rather than a leopard, but that's just how I see her lol.
.
Welp, that concludes the daemonesses of the Ars Goetia! Please keep in mind that these are just my personal beliefs, and I encourage you to take from this post what you wish and form your own opinions and beliefs on the matter.

⭒☆·━━━━━━━•( 🌑 )•━━━━━━━·☆⭒
There are many goddesses and daemonesses that span across several different practices and cultures that are open to work with...
Lilith doesn't need to be one of them.

About Me
Hello!!
I'm The Witchy Witch, also known by the names of Azami and A. J. Snow. I use she/her pronouns and I’m a Leo sun, Taurus Moon, and Scorpio Rising!
I consider myself an eclectic witch, and I'm Muslim-Pagan. (I'm always open to questions about this!)
Currently, I'm focusing on practical magic, and I'm in the process of learning more about Appalachian folk practices. A lot of my practice is rooted in Middle Eastern beliefs and practices as well.
A lot of the plants I use in my practice, I collect myself from outside! I live in West Virginia, and it is full of amazing plants that have both medicinal and magical properties.
Some of my favourite forms of magic include sympathetic magic, poppet magic, container spells & magic, sigils, candle magic, kitchen magic, divination, astrology, potion brewing, perfume witchcraft, and using magical oils & powders.
A large part of my pagan practices specifically are centered around kemeticism; I'll also say now that it's simply a coincidence that I'm also Egyptian. You don't need to be Egyptian to be Kemetic. The Egyptian pantheon is open! It is not a closed practice <3
I also work with (president) Caim of the goetia, so I reblog information related to demonolatry even though I don't consider myself a demonolater.
Please feel free to ask any questions!

"72 Demons of Goetia" from the "first book of the Small Key of Solomon". Prince Sitri. He appears in the guise of a leopard, but with the wings of a griffin. He controls feelings and can awaken feelings in anyone, but there is one caveat. This is not love as it is, but rather reckless passion and lust. He can also get people to give up secrets. Some believe that Sitri is actually the ancient Egyptian god Set. Indeed, they have common features, such as cunning, the desire for chaos and darkness. But whether this is true or not is not known for sure. \\\\

The thing that sends me from "yeah ok fun game" to "I MUST KNOW MORE" in regards to Cult of the Lamb is the fucking names.
Like - Leshy, thats a slavic forest deity. You might recognize the name from a type of monster in the Witcher franchise. His name tends to have something to do with the forest, and he can be depicted as many types of animals, most commonly a goat; ad wikipedia tells me he is "often characterized by a desire to conceal his face and avoid making eye contact with others".
Bishop Leshy: forest biome. depicted with antlers. eyes hidden by bandages.
Heqet is an egyptian fertility goddess, represented by a frog. She is associated with the annual flooding of the nile, which was vital to ancient egyptian agriculture.
Bishop Heket: swamp biome. Frog. Mouth/throat covered, which yes means "speak no evil" but cmon that's also "eats no food", since she is aso the Horsewoman of Famine. No nile flooding? No food. Heket? She of Hunger.
Even Clauneck has folkloric basis: he's a demon said to be able "to give wealth, and to take it away". In the game, he's responsible for your fortunes.
I can find some concepts that might be related to Kudaii and Chemach - khuda means god in persian. Kudan is a "prophecy beast" in japanese urban legend. (EDIT: as pointed out by @cuddlingdragons, Kudaai is a fire spirit who is considered an originator of blacksmithing). Meanwhile, a shem is what animates a golem in jewish folklore - see Chemach's followers. (Terry Pratchett also spells it chem, which I mention because there's an arguable influnce there: five Horsepersons, one of Kaos/Chaos.)
The various minibosses are pretty much all named after demons and the like, specifically from the Ars Goetia? Amdusias. Agares. Baalzebub. Barbatos.
Helob is a male Shelob from Tolkien. Rakshasa is an Indian demon. Even Narinder is a variant of Narendra, a sikh name combining "man" and "god". I'm not far enough to know if that's important but I'm gonna go ahead and assume it is.
All of which to say.
Kallamar?????
I can kinda reason with Shamura - shamar has a hebrew root for "to watch, to guard", not that that satisfies me. But
fucking
KALLAMAR???
"hi i am a squid"??? from the Latin calamarius, "pertaining to a writing-reed"? HELLO I AM EDIBLE? please I am losing my mind does ANYONE have input on any of this
#sorry to just dump this on my followers but inquiring minds need answers#input on all of these welcome btw. Barring Heket i learned about all of these yesterday#cult of the lamb#chaos has theories#chaos rambles#aaaaaaaaa

The Teachers Familiars
I tried to guess what were the familiars of the others teachers, since we have seen only Balam's familiar (and Cerberus but he's not a familiar).
So i used Demonology to help me
Ifrit
I think he's in the same situation that Kalego, his "spirit" of fire is the manifestation of his magic and he can't have a familiar because of it.
But if he HAD a Familiar, it would probably be a phoenix, since Ifrit fire is stated to be the most pure of all fires.
Dantalion
He's apparently a demon who can make a lot of different forms. but no mentions of a animal with him.
I could see him having a DRAGON, since he sees his students like a tresor that he must protect.
(and i joked with other persons about him turning SUPER overprotective in his wicked phase)
Suzy
"""Stolas is a Great Prince of Jinnestan, commands twenty-six legions of demons, and teaches astronomy and the knowledge of poisonous plants, herbs and precious stones. He is depicted as either being a crowned owl with long legs, a raven, or a man."""
So maybe a Raven?
Or there are nothing to see with the demonology (where Stolas is a man XD) and she has a plant monster? A animal/magical creature who has a tie with nature?
Marbas
""In demonology, Marbas or Barbas is a demon described in the Ars Goetia. He is described as the Great President of Hell governing thirty-six legions of demons. He answers truly on hidden or secret things, causes and heals diseases, gives wisdom and knowledge in mechanical arts, and can change men into other shapes. He is depicted as a great lion that, under the conjurer's request, changes shape into a man.""
**mechanical arts** yeah right XD
No mention of any animals in his desciption; except the form that he can take when he's summoned by human (who is commun to a lot of demons, yeah a lot seems to take a lion form) :/ (so if Iruma had summoned him, he would have been a adorable little lion? XD)
I had one time joked that Marbas could have a cute (but super dangerous) familiar to contrast with his **fanboy of torture tools** side.
Robin
in demonology, the demon Barbatos is associated to a bear.
So Robin could have demoniac bear or he could have a hawk or a eagle who are associated to good eyes (he's kinda a sniper with his bow).
Orias
""In demonology, Orias (also spelled Oriax) is a Great Marquis of Hell, and has thirty legions of demons under his command. He knows and teaches the virtues of the stars and the mansions of the planets.""
And also ""The Fifty-ninth Spirit is Oriax, or Orias. He is a Great Marquis, and appeareth in the Form of a Lion, 3 riding upon a Horse Mighty and Strong, with a Serpent's Tail; 4 and he holdeth in his Right Hand two Great Serpents hissing.""
So it's likely that Orias Familiar would be a horse with a serpent's tail. Maybe with wings too.
Badass, right?
Ipos
""In demonology, Ipos is an Earl and powerful Prince of Jinnestan (a Duke to some authors) who has thirty-six legions of demons under his command. He knows and can reveal all things, past, present and future (only the future to some authors, and past and future to others). He can make men witty and valiant. Some who have summoned Ipos have stated that he is the same entity as the Egyptian god Anubis. Anubis is said to be nearly ten feet tall and muscular with the head of a jackal. In this form he acts as a protector and guide for souls of the deceased.""
So his familiar could be a jackal, maybe? or maybe a Howl since this bird is associated by knowledge and strategy? or maybe mix of Jackal and owl?
Murmur
"""In demonology, Murmur is a Great Duke and Earl of Jinnestan, and has thirty legions of demons under his command. He teaches Philosophy, and can oblige the souls of the deceased to appear before the conjurer to answer every desired question.""" And ""Murmur is depicted as a soldier riding a Vulture or a Griffin, and wearing a ducal crown. ""
So his familiar may be a vulture or a griffin. i rather the griffin, it's more badass. XD
Buer
"""Buer is a spirit that appears in the 16th-century grimoire Pseudomonarchia Daemonum and its derivatives, where he is described as a Great President of Hell, having fifty legions of demons under his command. He appears when the Sun is in Sagittarius. Like Chiron, the chief centaur of Greek mythology, he teaches natural and moral philosophy, logic, and the qualities and uses of all herbs and plants, and is also capable of healing all infirmities (especially of humans) and bestows good familiars. He has been described as being in the shape of Sagittarius, which is as a centaur with a bow and arrows"
So his familiar could be a kind of horse/kind of centaur, or maybe a snake since it's a animal who is often associated to medicine.
Morax Family
"""in demonology, Morax is a Demon, Great Earl, and President of Hell, having thirty legions of demons under his command. He teaches Astronomy and all other liberal sciences, and gives good and wise familiars that know the virtues of all herbs and precious stones. He is depicted both as a man with the head of a bull, as well as a bull with the head of a man. It has been proposed that Morax is related to the Minotaur which Dante places in Hell"""
so we could guess that, in this family, the familiars are bulllike. Demoniac Bulls. Maybe the Grandpa has a kind of minotaur, while his grandaugther has a bull.

People keep confusing the Ars Goetia with goêteia. Your use of "goetia" and not "goêteia" in your reply shows that you think I'm speaking about the Ars Goetia, a later medieval text rather than the bronze age tradition. Kabbalah originated in the 12th–13th centuries- The Zohar, the foundational text of Kabbalah, was authored in the late 13th century. Whereas goêteia was practiced by Greeks, Egyptians and Jews well before the 1st CE. According to anthropologist Yuval Harari in "Jewish Magic before the Rise of Kabbalah" goêteia was a predecessor to later concepts of Jewish magic. In the Greek Magical Papyri, a Greco-Egyptian text written in the Late Temple Period in Thebes, Egypt, there are numerous spells and evocations written by Egyptian and Greek Jewish magi calling upon angels and the ineffable names of god, all predating Kabbalah by thousands of years. This is your history too. Instead of being ignorant, try reading up before fighting. If you can't accept facts, idk what to tell you. @apolloforetoldus
